How do I create a checklist?

Tap + to create a new note, then choose List note. Press Enter to add new items, and tap the checkbox to mark an item complete.

How do I create a regular note?

Tap + to create a new note, then choose Text note. Start typing.

Can I mix checklists and text?

No. Each note is either a Text note or a List note.

Features

How does shake to clear work?

While viewing a List note, shake your phone to instantly clear all checked items. This is a Premium feature that can be disabled in Settings → Feedback → Shake to Clear.

How do I change the theme?

Go to Settings → Theme and choose between System, Light, or Dark mode. Dark mode is a Premium feature.

Data & Privacy

Where are my notes stored?

All notes are stored locally on your device. We never upload them to any server.

Can I sync notes across devices?

No, Notted is offline-only by design. Your notes stay private on your device.

What happens if I delete the app?

Your notes will be permanently deleted. Make sure to back up your device if you want to keep them.

Do you collect any data?

We do not collect your notes or usage analytics. Premium purchases are handled by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android); see our Privacy Policy for details.

Purchases

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open the app, go to the paywall or upgrade section, and tap Restore Purchase.
iOS: You must be signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy Premium.
Android: Use the same Google account that bought Premium on Google Play.

Is this a subscription?

No. Notted Premium is a one-time purchase where available. Pay once for that platform’s unlock (per Apple / Google rules).

What do I get with Premium?

  • Unlimited notes (free is limited to 1 note)
  • Dark mode
  • Shake to clear gesture

Can I get a refund?

Refund requests follow Apple or Google’s policies for in-app purchases, depending on where you bought. Use Report a Problem (Apple) or Play Help (Google) as appropriate.

Troubleshooting

The app is slow / laggy

Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, contact us at hello@notted.app

My purchase isn’t recognized

Use Restore Purchases while signed in with the correct Apple ID or Google account. If it still fails, contact hello@notted.app and include your platform (iOS or Android) and a screenshot of the purchase from the store’s order history if you can.
